This
is a new aluminum prop in its original carton. It is marked as a 16" diameter X 11" pitch propeller and has
15 splines. It fits the common Mercruiser I drive units that have a 4 3/4" diameter lower gear case. These older
design props have become harder to find. This would be for heavy applications like work boats,
houseboats, etc.

Seat Back Cushion
This
is a NOS factory made snap in seat back cushion made for typical 40's-50's wooden runabouts. I think it was made
by Tapatco (The American Pad and Textile Co.). It has a flap on the top and down the sides with standard button
snaps installed. It measures 53" X 14".

Early Tohatsu

Scarce Galaxy Boat Decal NOS
I
believe this is from the 70's. Galaxy offered both inboard/outboard
and outboard motor boats. This is self adhering. The top paper is
left on to hold the shape. I have peeled back a corner of the top
paper, to show the green color. This has been in a drawer for many
years. It looks like it should be perfectly useable to me. If you
at least peeled the top layer off, it would make a great display or
pattern for more. It measures about 11" long.
Item Number: GBD70
Price: $8.00

Perko Stainless
Louvered Boat Vents
This
is a pair of new old stock Perko stainless steel louvered
ventilators. These still had the original sticky paper on both
sides, which I have removed from the front of one for the
picture. This shows the new, bright stainless steel surface. These
were made by Perko, a major marine hardware manufacturer.
They were intended to be used for ventilation on a boat, but would
be at home anywhere. Could be used for ventilation on any high performance engine such as outboard motors,
personal watercraft, snowmobiles, race cars, motorcycles, etc. They
measure 7 3/4" X 2 1/2". Don't miss this hard to find item.
Item Number: PERLV

Early Drill-O-Driver Drill Attachment
A
half century ago, this tool was offered to allow people to drive
screws and nuts with the electric drills of the time. This appears
to have never been used and is complete with the original box and
paperwork. It came with a 1/4" square drive tip and a flat blade
screwdriver tip. It incorporates a cone clutch which
is engaged by applying pressure against the screw with the drill and
supposedly will slip when the screw becomes tight. The
paperwork says it was inspected Aug. 18, 1954. I have never
seen another of these.

Wilcox Crittenden Hot Shot Battery Box NOS
This
rare accessory was made to hold a standard Hot Shot battery to power
lights and/or the ignition of a battery ignition outboard motor. It
held the battery under a wooden boat seat which was as dry and out
of the way of a spot as there was in a open boat. It is made of
galvanized steel with a grommeted hole for wires, and fastens by
carriage bolts and wing nuts. It was also marketed to hold tools
instead.
Item Number: HSBB

1978 Goldbergs'
Marine Supply Catalog
These
people were major mail order suppliers of boating supplies. This is
their big catalog. It shows every aspect of boating supplies for
sailboats, powerboats, outboard motors, electronics, water skis, and
even fishing tackle. They even sold small Evinrude and British
Seagull outboard motors. It is great to see the spectrum of items
and prices offered 30 years ago. The condition is very good. There
is some browning of the edges of the pages as happens to the
"newspaper" type pages. There are 227 numbered pages and the size
is just shy of 8 1/2" X 11".
Item Number: GOLD1978
Price: $4.99

Unusual Vintage Boatracing Magazine 1987
I
don't recall ever seeing another issue of this magazine. It says it
is Series 2, Volume 41. June/July. It was mailed to Grubb's Marine
in Spring City, PA and 1987 has been written on the address label.
It covers all aspects of power boat racing with technical articles
for both inboard and outboard motors. It is well represented with
advertisers including Mercury and Yamaha. I find it interesting that
it was published by Muncey Productions of Redmond, WA. A great
addition to any boat racing fan's library. Condition is very good.
There is a small tear at the top end of the spine.
Item Number: BTR1987
Price: $4.99

Rare "Hassock" storage case for boat flotation cushions
This
is a really neat and unusual item. It is leatherette material and is
carefully made with a brass zipper that entirely encircles the middle of the case allowing it to be completely
separated into 2 halves. It appears to be capable of holding 4 of the standard boat flotation cushions for neat
storage, creating a hassock. There is a flap that completely covers the zipper for a clean appearance. There is a
triangular piece of the same material sewn on 2 opposite sides to form carrying handles. What a great accessory
for a small vintage rowboat, sailboat, or outboard motor boat. This is the only one I have, so don't miss out on
this rare item.
Item Number: HSC224

1969 Johnson Outboard and I/O Motor Parts Books
This
is a complete set of 3 ring loose leaf parts lists for the 69 year.
These are in clean condition. The clasp unit has developed some rust.
The first and last pages do have some silverfish damage.
Otherwise, I doubt they were ever used.
This seems to cover everything Johnson offered in this year in both outboards,
inboard/outboards, and accessories for both.
the total is about 7/8" thick.
Item Number: 69JPM
Price: $20.00

Vintage Mercury Outboard Motor Oil Can
This
30 to 35 year old can has had the top popped and is empty but
displays virtually as unopened and is in excellent condition. This
is the older 50-1 oil that was not BIA certified. It is probably
from the early to mid 70's. A must for any Merc collector or
outboard oil can collector.
Item Number: MOC501
Price: $8.99
|
Early Champion Spark Plugs
These
vintage Champion spark plugs appear to be used. There is an early
6-M with the brass collar at the top and a 15-A. The 15-A has some
pitting of the hex wrench faces, but still displays well. The
thread size is 18mm. I think these were used in a wide variety of
engines from old cars, trucks, stationary and industrial engines,
outboard, and inboard boat motors, etc. The one price is for both
plugs.
Item Number: CH6M15A
Price: $4.00

Rare Old Mastercraft
Tie-Down Repair Kits
Talk
about an unusual item! Back in the late 40's and early50's,
Mastercraft from Connecticut was a major maker of boat trailers.
Their early design trademark features were a bridge work type
fabricated trailer tongue and a crosswise leaf spring. They sold
cotton webbing tie down straps to go over the boat at the wheels.
These straps had a rubber ring sewn into them to give the strap
stretch/tension. This sale is for 2 NOS repair kits for these
straps, if the rubber ring should need replacement. The strap was
cut at the spot where the ring was sewn in and the tip included,
went on the end and the plain buckle provided a way to make a new
loop around the new ring and buckle assembly. These could be used
to make up authentic looking tie downs for a restoration of a boat
and one of these trailers.
Item Number: MCNOS
Price: $6.00

Vintage Mercury Outboard Advertising Pin
This
is a tin lapel pin that has never been used. It does not have a pin
back. It simply has a tab you bend down to hook over a shirt or
jacket pocket. The tab has never been bent. These were from 1965
which is the year most Mercs were reengineered to reduce the noise
they made. The pin states "shhhhh Mercury outboard quiet zone". It
measures 2" in diameter. A truly unusual find to add to any Merc
memorabilia collection.
Item Number: PN1964
Price: $4.00

Vintage Child's Life
Jacket (New Old Stock)
This
a new vintage commercial child's life jacket as used on ships or
boats that carry passengers. It is kapok filled and early enough
that the kapok is not sealed in plastic. This was Coast Guard
Approved for commercial service. It is in the original printed
plastic bag but the bag does have a tear. The jacket seems fine.
These were bulky and this is not something for your child to wear to
go boating. It would be a great display piece for a ship type
decor.
Item Number: NOSJKT

Scarce NOS Chrome Hub Cap Vintage Dilly Boat Trailer
It
is a new chrome cap with the Dilly boat trailer insignia in the center. It measures about 9 5/8" in diameter overall.
It appears to me to be designed for wheels that had "bumps" or clips on them that the cap goes over
for retaining. I feel it has never been installed. The chrome is very good. There is some damage to the insignia at
about 8 o'clock. There is some staining inside the back. Overall, I would say appearance is pretty impresive.
A great accessory for a vintage outboard or inboard motor boat package, or simply as an unusual display item.
Item Number: DLHUB
Price: $10.00

Snapit Auto Trouble Light
This
unusual light appears to have never been used, but has been around, probably, from the 50's. It
requires a 6 volt lantern battery. It stands on its base or hangs by its carrying handle. It has a
red (probably flashing) light and a removable white light with a spool of wire and a hook to hang it by. I think
the switch will allow the red or white lights together or separately. A neat old piece of
auto memorabilia.

NOS Early AC and Auto-Lite Spark Plugs with boxes

NOS Chrome Fuel Gauge and Sender
This
is a new old stock package of fuel gauge and sender. This is from
an old dealer that sold outboard and inboard motor boat parts. The
gauge is the old traditional black face with white numbers and
chrome bezel. It is of the traditional Stewart-Warner type but has
no brand name on it. It has been marked as 6 volt. The sender
would seem to be designed for a tank in the 11-12" depth area. The
sender is also of the old design where the top of the tank had a
raised male thread collar that the sender sat on and the "cap" in
the picture retained the sender and provided the wire terminal. I
have no reason to believe this is not OK, but because of its age, I
cannot guarantee it.
