Vintage N.A. Taylor
Ski Rope Reel NOS
This
unusual item is brand new in the original carton with a sealed pack
of hardware and instructions. It is a reel to manually, yet quickly
retrieve and let out a ski tow rope. They were most practical,
where they could be mounted for a centered pull such as a ski tow
pylon on an outboard motor boat or center pull is always available
on an inboard. An unusual vintage item for display or use.
Item Number: SRNOS
Price: $18.00

New Old Stock Trojan Spark Plug
This
is a new old stock spark plug in the original box. It has the
original printed wrapping paper. The thread size is 7/8" X 18. I
can't help wondering if this brand provided the engine some sort of
protection? I'm certain plugs like these were used in a wide
variety of engines including old cars, trucks, stationary and
industrial engines, outboard, and inboard boat motors, etc. Here is
a chance to get an uncommon old plug, brand new.

Electronic Fishing by Lowrance
This
is a soft cover manual sold by the Lowrance depth finder company
many years ago. It measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" and has 98 numbered
pages. It is in excellent condition. This certainly seems to leave
no stone unturned regarding the use of fishfinders.

Old Tempo Manual
Fuel Gauge Mirrors
These
are 3 new Tempo mirror units that were designed to mount over the
manual fuel gauge on a boat fuel tank. These were used where the
tank sat in under decking so you could not look down on the gauge
from above. There are 2 mirrors in each unit. One is adjustable for
angle. The reflection of the gauge going thru 2 mirrors reverses
twice so the image you see reads correctly. There are 2 units that
have flanges to mount to the tank by 2 screws and one unit that
slipped down over the type of gauge that had a raised collar. The
one screw mount unit does not have a box. I could not get a very
clear picture of the image in the mirror, but I tried. This is my
total stock of these.

Scarce Galaxy Boat Decal NOS
I
believe this is from the 70's. Galaxy offered both inboard/outboard
and outboard motor boats. This is self adhering. The top paper is
left on to hold the shape. I have peeled back a corner of the top
paper, to show the green color. This has been in a drawer for many
years. It looks like it should be perfectly useable to me. If you
at least peeled the top layer off, it would make a great display or
pattern for more. It measures about 11" long.
Item Number: GBD70
Price: $8.00

Vintage
Wilcox-Crittenden Bilge Pump Kits
These
are the entire pump unit that went onto the end of the motor of W/C
bilge pumps. These pumps were not submersible and were typically
mounted on the transom. They were referred to as Hi-Cap bilge pumps
and this kit is #7007. They were original equipment in many boats.
I can particularly remember Starcraft boats being equipped with
them. Included are 2 complete kits and one kit that has the complete
body but no impeller. These could be used on both inboard and
outboard motor boats, sailboats, and even rowboats. The original
boxes are included.
Item Number: 7007
Price: $20.00

Early Drill-O-Driver Drill Attachment
A
half century ago, this tool was offered to allow people to drive
screws and nuts with the electric drills of the time. This appears
to have never been used and is complete with the original box and
paperwork. It came with a 1/4" square drive tip and a flat blade
screwdriver tip. It incorporates a cone clutch which
is engaged by applying pressure against the screw with the drill and
supposedly will slip when the screw becomes tight. The
paperwork says it was inspected Aug. 18, 1954. I have never
seen another of these.
Item Number: DOD1954

1978 Goldbergs'
Marine Supply Catalog
These
people were major mail order suppliers of boating supplies. This is
their big catalog. It shows every aspect of boating supplies for
sailboats, powerboats, outboard motors, electronics, water skis, and
even fishing tackle. They even sold small Evinrude and British
Seagull outboard motors. It is great to see the spectrum of items
and prices offered 30 years ago. The condition is very good. There
is some browning of the edges of the pages as happens to the
"newspaper" type pages. There are 227 numbered pages and the size
is just shy of 8 1/2" X 11".
Item Number: GOLD1978
Price: $4.99

Unusual Vintage Boatracing Magazine 1987
I
don't recall ever seeing another issue of this magazine. It says it
is Series 2, Volume 41. June/July. It was mailed to Grubb's Marine
in Spring City, PA and 1987 has been written on the address label.
It covers all aspects of power boat racing with technical articles
for both inboard and outboard motors. It is well represented with
advertisers including Mercury and Yamaha. I find it interesting that
it was published by Muncey Productions of Redmond, WA. A great
addition to any boat racing fan's library. Condition is very good.
There is a small tear at the top end of the spine.
Item Number: BTR1987
Price: $4.99

1950's Car Top Carrier
This
is a rectangular roof top carrier from the 50's?? It has been on
the shelf, unopened all this time. It hooked to the edge of the
roof (rain gutters) and sat on 4 suction cups. This has to be a
rare NOS accessory for a classic or antique car that could actually
be put into use. It has never been removed from the original box.
There was a canvas cover that was sold separately. It is included
in this sale as well! Instructions Included.
Item Number: AUTCAR

Vintage Airguide Dual Engine Synchronizer
This
is an Airguide dual engine synchronizer that showed when you had the
throttles set so each engine was running at the same RPM. This
particular one was packaged with a double throw switch to be used at
a second station. I never used any of these so I can't give any
more information on their operation. Sorry, I really don't know if
it is workable with inboard and outboard motors. It is in the
original box with a simple wiring diagram. This displays well and
would be something different to dress up your show case display
or for possible actual use. I suspect the unit itself is the same
as the one used at the first station.
Item Number: RPM
Price: $9.99

Vintage Mercury Outboard Motor Oil Can
This
30 to 35 year old can has had the top popped and is empty but
displays virtually as unopened and is in excellent condition. This
is the older 50-1 oil that was not BIA certified. It is probably
from the early to mid 70's. A must for any Merc collector or
outboard oil can collector.
Item Number: MOC501

Early Champion Spark Plugs
These
vintage Champion spark plugs appear to be used. There is an early
6-M with the brass collar at the top and a 15-A. The 15-A has some
pitting of the hex wrench faces, but still displays well. The
thread size is 18mm. I think these were used in a wide variety of
engines from old cars, trucks, stationary and industrial engines,
outboard, and inboard boat motors, etc. The one price is for both
plugs.

Rare Old Mastercraft
Tie-Down Repair Kits
Talk
about an unusual item! Back in the late 40's and early50's,
Mastercraft from Connecticut was a major maker of boat trailers.
Their early design trademark features were a bridge work type
fabricated trailer tongue and a crosswise leaf spring. They sold
cotton webbing tie down straps to go over the boat at the wheels.
These straps had a rubber ring sewn into them to give the strap
stretch/tension. This sale is for 2 NOS repair kits for these
straps, if the rubber ring should need replacement. The strap was
cut at the spot where the ring was sewn in and the tip included,
went on the end and the plain buckle provided a way to make a new
loop around the new ring and buckle assembly. These could be used
to make up authentic looking tie downs for a restoration of a boat
and one of these trailers.

Vintage Mercury Outboard Advertising Pin
This
is a tin lapel pin that has never been used. It does not have a pin
back. It simply has a tab you bend down to hook over a shirt or
jacket pocket. The tab has never been bent. These were from 1965
which is the year most Mercs were reengineered to reduce the noise
they made. The pin states "shhhhh Mercury outboard quiet zone". It
measures 2" in diameter. A truly unusual find to add to any Merc
memorabilia collection.

Vintage Child's Life
Jacket (New Old Stock)
This
a new vintage commercial child's life jacket as used on ships or
boats that carry passengers. It is kapok filled and early enough
that the kapok is not sealed in plastic. This was Coast Guard
Approved for commercial service. It is in the original printed
plastic bag but the bag does have a tear. The jacket seems fine.
These were bulky and this is not something for your child to wear to
go boating. It would be a great display piece for a ship type
decor.

Scarce Early 60's?
Larson Boat Decals
I
believe these are from the early 60's, but might have been used over
a longer time period. Larson offered both inboard/outboard and
outboard motor boats. My father sold Cutter boats then, and Cutter
and Larson were both owned by Brunswick Corp. at that time. They
have been in a drawer for many, many years. They look fine but I feel
it would be wise to apply a fresh coat of spray adhesive if you want
to apply them. Of course they make a great display, as is. They
measure about 14 1/2" long.

Mounting Panel for
Gauge
This
is a mounting panel that accepts standard 2 1/16" gauges like oil
pressure, fuel, temperature, ammeters, voltmeters, etc. It permits
add on mounting to the underside of a dash. Possible applications
would be cars, trucks, boats, airplanes, etc. It may be new and has
a horizontal striped pattern in the metal. It does have some fine
scratches that can be seen from varying viewing angles but overall
appearance is very good.

Mercury Marine
Sunshade Type Gauge Trim
This
is a Mercury Marine sunshade type trim piece from the days when
their gauges had chrome bezels (the earlier 60's). I appears to be

would be a great replacement for one that has deteriorated.

NOS Chrome Fuel Gauge and Sender
This
is a new old stock package of fuel gauge and sender. This is from
an old dealer that sold outboard and inboard motor boat parts. The
gauge is the old traditional black face with white numbers and
chrome bezel. It is of the traditional Stewart-Warner type but has
no brand name on it. It has been marked as 6 volt. The sender
would seem to be designed for a tank in the 11-12" depth area. The
sender is also of the old design where the top of the tank had a
raised male thread collar that the sender sat on and the "cap" in
the picture retained the sender and provided the wire terminal. I
have no reason to believe this is not OK, but because of its age, I
cannot guarantee it.
