1947 Mercury KE-4 Rocket 7.5hp @ 4000 RPM Serial number 219471 This model was developed by revising the carburetion and breathing of the previous year's 6hp model. It sported the new "green" Mercury styling. I purchased this motor from a nearby boat dealer in 1971. I got it running in 1987 and did a total restoration in 1991. I continue to run it occasionally.
