This very rare Merc is the most original example of
this motor made for A class stock racing known to exist.
The powerhead has twice as many reed valves as a standard
KE4 and uses the carburetor from the 10hp KF7. The lower
gear case is the smaller size unit found on 3.6 and 5hp
models. I acquired this motor from a Merc collector from
IL in 2001. I first ran it in August of 2002 and have
occasionally run it since.
